Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to Konbini Drop (the "Site"), run by Konbini Drop Operations Office (Konbini Drop 運営事務局) ("we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. What the Site is

The Site is an independent guide to new convenience store products in Japan. Product names, prices and dates come from public information by each chain and may change or contain errors. We are not affiliated with any convenience store chain. Always check prices, ingredients and allergens on the product label.

2. Posting photos

You must be at least 16 years old to post.
Only post photos you took yourself, of konbini products.
Follow the Photo Guidelines. Every photo is checked before it is published (by an automatic AI check and, when needed, by a person), and we may refuse or remove any photo without giving a reason.
Don't post photos that show people, faces, personal information, or where anyone is staying.

3. Your rights in your photos

You keep the copyright in your photos. By posting, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, resize, display and share your photo, nickname, country and comment on the Site and on the Site's own social media accounts, for as long as the photo stays on the Site. When a photo is removed from the Site, this license ends, except for copies already shared on social media before removal, which we will remove on request.

4. Things you must not do

Post anything that is illegal, harmful, hateful, sexual, violent, or that infringes someone else's rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy or portrait rights.
Post advertising, spam, links, contact details or social media handles.
Pretend to be someone else.
Send automated requests, scrape the Site in a way that harms it, or try to get around our limits or security.

5. Removing photos

You can delete a photo waiting for review at any time, and delete a published photo yourself from your photos on the device you posted from, or ask us to remove it on the contact page. We handle removal requests within 72 hours. Anyone can report a photo; we review reports within 24 hours and may hide a photo while we check it.

6. Advertising

The Site shows ads, including ads served by Google. See the Privacy Policy for how this works.

7. Disclaimer

We provide the Site "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by using the Site or by information on it, except where caused by our intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will show the new date at the top, and for important changes we will place a notice on the Site before they take effect.

9. Law and courts

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes will be handled by the district court that has jurisdiction over our place of business as the court of first instance, unless consumer protection laws in your country give you the right to use your local courts.
