Fried chicken curry
Upgrade a konbini curry with crispy chicken. Japanese curry rice is one of the most comforting konbini meals. Add a box of hot fried chicken on top and you have a curry shop classic.
What to buy
- Curry riceカレーライスJapanese-style curry: a thick, mild, slightly sweet brown sauce over white rice, sold as a chilled bento. Ask the staff to heat it: 温めてください (atatamete kudasai).
- Karaage-kun or small fried chickenからあげクン / からあげBite-size fried chicken from the hot case at the register. Lawson's Karaage-kun comes in a small box of five pieces with flavors like regular and red (spicy).
How to make it
- Have the curry heated at the register and buy the fried chicken at the same time.
- Open the curry and put the chicken pieces on top.
- Let them soak up a little sauce for a minute, then eat.
